Literacy/Numeracy Reflection W6T2

Power Writing 

This week for power writing I wrote a story about a girl named Anne and her family Mum, Dad and siblings James and Mary scaring Anne when she is home alone! 

A Coming storm!

There was a loud bang of thunder coming from the sea, It sounded like it was getting closer. I slipped out of my bed and closer to the window… It WAS getting closer! I was starting to get scared because all my family was at a birthday party my sister (Mary) was invited too.

I tip toed downstairs to the basement where I felt safe. All of a sudden I heard someone trying to break in...

I tiptoed into the closet where the spare tennis ball were. “Finally something to defend myself with I thought!” He or she was getting closer it was calling out “ Anne come out come out wherever you are!”. I didn’t do anything, I even tried not to breathe or move! “AHA! I found you I heard something move!” It’s coming from the basement”...

I opened the closet slowly and quietly, I did not make a sound. I heard him/her coming down the stairs I quickly and quietly stepped behind the door he/she opened the door and yelled “BOOOOOOOO!” and guess what?? It was my annoying big brother (James) trying to scare me!

Then he told me the family was in the garage being extremely quiet! I was like how did they get my 2 year old sister to stay quiet when she won’t even go to sleep without making a noise!

I head upstairs to the garage “Where everyone was suppose to be hiding”! When I got there I opened the door and they threw Mayonnaise, Melted chocolate, popcorn, chips and meat paddys at me! I was a food monster!”.

Mum quickly grabbed me a towel and I raced into the bathroom took a shower and got into my Jammies!

That was fun, especially for them!

Descriptive - Miss Reissmann

This week since it was Miss Reissmanns birthday on Thursday we had to complete a google doc describing what Miss Reissmann looked like.

Sessions with the Teacher

This week my group (Group 2) went to see the teacher we read a story in a journal called 'Leave' we got given a graphic organiser to complete this task. Miss Reissmann said not to start it until next week! So I don't have a DLO for Sessions with the Teacher!

Numeracy

This week our task was to complete a Maths Buddy Action plan. We had to go throught our tasks and pick the ones we had done not so well in. Then we had to put in a link to some maths sites that can help us learn that maths tests questions we got wrong!
