Numeracy - For numeracy this week we have been learning how to work out 2 digit by 2 digit Multipcation. At first I didn't get it but now I do because at first it was really confusing.

Word Work - This week for word work our first task was to decode and use in a sentence. I found this activity easy because we have been doing it for the past few weeks.

I also have done a fun activity, I picked an Acrostic Poem! It was lots of fun!

Writing- For writing this week we have been writing a Camp Reflection! Our walt was to use The 5 w's in our introduction. Then we had to pick one of the 5 w's for example Where then we would write a list of things telling us where we went. Then after you had done that to all the 5w's you could start writing your paragraphs!

Blurb- This book is about Geronimo Stiltonoot going on an adventure with Thea and Trap to help fish a giant oyster out of the water. At first  he doesn't want to go because he thinks they have to walk but instead they take a ride on autosauruses but Geronimos doesn't want to go so Geronimo says " I will promise of a mega smoothie, seasoned with cheese and beans" and then off went the autosauruse!! 
When they get there they met Rocky and they got strate into business and they pulled it out in know time! But then guess who showed up....  TIGER KHAN and his CATS! But Rocky had it under control he got other people from the village to fire sticky, icky, stinky goo at them!! That got rid of them!
When they get home Thea and Trap organise a date with Clarissa and Thea gets Geronimo all freshened up! When they get to the resturant the have a meal and dessert and Clarissa Kisses Geronimo right on top of his snout!!

Rating- I rate this book 10 out of 10 because it is a great book and has awesome pictures!!

I recomend this book for 8 and over!

Numeracy- For numeracy we have been learning 2 digit times tables. I found this activity hard because I didn't get the way to work it out until the end of maths! We had to complete some questions on maths buddy and work them out in our maths book.

Literacy- We created a google drawing about Shantytown. We had to write some facts about Shantytown for example - Shantytown is a historical place on the West Coast. It has lots of signs you can read. Then we had to write an introduction about Shantytown. In our introduction we had to use the 5 W's. I learnt how to write an detailed introduction which will help with writing paragraphs

Literacy- For literacy we created a spine poem. For this literacy task you pick 4 or 6 books and put them together and use the titles to create the poem! The fun thing is your poem doesn't have to make sense because it is made out of titles and of course it won't make sense if you put them together.



Word Work- For word work we had to decode and use in a sentence. I found this task a little hard because we had to find the meaning and then write it in a sentence.

Reflection W5T1

For literacy this week we had lots of activitys, like our word work and writing. I found this weeks word work a wee bit harder because we had to find the meaning of our word and then put it into sentences. For our other word work activity we had to find the origin of the word. I found this activity fun because we had to search it up and it was cool seeing where the word came from.

For our writing we got to chose whatever we wanted. I chose to write about Hollywood. Miss Panther told us to get out a book about our writing. I asked Mrs Costell if she had any books on Hollywood and she found one about fashion designers and famous shows that were filmed in Hollywood. First we had to we had to link 2 sites to a padlet Miss Panther made us and then create a doc and call it My Notes and your name then write notes in there. We also made a coggle about our writing.
