  1. Kia ora Katelynn,

You are super clever to have come up with different ways to describe the beautiful auroras. Did you know that poems like these are called acrostic poems? Acrostic poem is a poem where certain letters in each line spell out a word or phrase. This means, you can even write an acrostic poem using your own name 'KATELYNN'!

I like how you have used words such as 'luminous', 'incredibly' and 'glazing'; as a reader I could imagine these magical lights come to life in my head! Would you like to see auroras in real life?

    Take care,
    Susie

Yes I did know the poem I wrote was a Acrostic Poem, isn't it cool! I actually made a poem book this year everyone my class did.

It is great to hear that you've been writing lots of poems at school this year! What is your favourite subject? What are you looking forward to learn this year? :)

    4. Hi there Katelynn,

It is always a great idea to set goals because it helps you focus on achieving what you truly want! Read lots and lots of books to see how different authors use descriptive language. Do you have a favourite book you're reading at the moment?
