Summer Learning Journey ~ Offering a helping hand

 Offering a helping hand

1.If I lived in the 1930s I would help out by helping everyone in the community with little jobs like, stitching holes in there clothing, fetching there water, gathering food for there familes.

2.I would also help people apply for jobs so they could earn money like a counselor MAYBE even a CEO of a business!

3. I would try and get people to learn how to do a lot of different things to make money like nitting clothes and other different activities!

Summer Learning Journey ~ Bonus Activity ~ Crossing the Tasman ~ Poem

My Poem

The excitement in our bodys as the plane landed.

Families screaming and yelling!
So excited to see there loved ones.

The trip was long but short
The late nights and early mornings
Making us tired

We finally arrived home! Yay!

Summer Learning Journey ~ Art Deco

Art Deco

Rate this picture 1 - 5, 5 being the best!

I would rate this picture a 3 because...

What I like about the image :)
I like how he or she has usen the colours that pop! I also like how   everything they have drawn on the image is coloured and not just boring and not noticable.

I would like to ask the artist who done this painting how long it took them to make it, because it has a lot of detail.

Summer Learning Journey ~ A1 ~ D2 ~ W2 ~ The Silent Movie

THE SILENT MOVIE

I think this movie is about the 4 characters, The Adventurer, The Outlaw, The Dancer and The Tramp going on a race for gold. They all climb a mountain on the race for gold!

Summer Learning Journey ~ D2 ~ W2 ~ A2 The Right to Vote

 The Right to Vote

I don't think that it is ok that women weren't aloud to vote until 2015.

Here's why!

What gives men the right to be allowed to vote, how do you think the women felt everytime it was time to vote! The probably felt very belittle about themseves.

What is soo good about men that allows them to vote, how would you feel if you were at talent show but only MEN we allowed to vote on the winning peformance! That's something they need to think about.

I hope the person who made this rule up regreats it because what if it was the other way around, ladies vote and men miss out! The men would feel the excactly same way the girls do.

Summer Learning Journey ~ W2 ~ D2 ~ In Flanders Field

What do you think of the Flanders Field Poem?

I think this poem is AMAZING because it reminds us of how lucky we are to have a free country!

This poem makes me fell sad but happy it's a bit of both!

Summer Learning Journey ~ D4 ~ A1 ~ What is your favourite waiata?

What is your favourite waiata?

My favourite waiata is 'Tiaho Mai Ra' because it is really up beat and the Grey Main School Kapahaka group (Including me) sang it at the Christmas Concert!

Another reason I like this song is because the actions we done to it were quite cool!

Summer Learning Journey ~ D3 ~ A3 ~ Bonus Activity ~ Fun Family Facts

Summer Learning Journey ~ D3 ~ A2 ~ My Pepeha

SLJ ~ D3 ~ A1 ~ The more, the merrier?

THE MORE, THE MERRIER?

I think being part of such a large family would be fun but also bad because you would have lots of friends to hang out with, and if you had sisters to play with you could take turns at doing each other's hair! Sorry boys!

But... being part of a large family would also be chaotic and CrAzY! Because there would be alot of washing, dishes and chores to be done around the house. Just imagine all the money your parents would have to spend on beds, furniture and clothing!

In my family I live with my Mum, Dad and Sister we also have 2 older step brothers but they don't live with us! I love having a sister and brothers espically when you have nothing to do you can just ask them if they want to play with you!

Do you have any siblings?
Do you enjoy having siblings if you do have some?

Sometimes having siblings can be annoying because as you get older you want to have your own time but they are always wanting to play with you all the time and then theygo into your personal stuff! ALSO, when you want to tell your Mum and Dad what happened in the day or just anything, you have got siblings running around the house being annoying so your parents get distracted! THAT WOULD BE SOOOO ANNOYING!

Christmas Concert 2017

This week we have had a really busy week with the Christmas Concert, Big Day Out and on Friday it was my teacher Miss Reissmann's last day at GREY MAIN SCHOOL. By Friday alot of our students were really tired (Like ME! Haha!), I think everyone including the teachers just wanted to go home and go to bed. It seemed like the week seemed to drag out FOREVER but we finally the week finished and there is now only 9 more days til christmas!

Here is a photo of me and my friends, after we went to the regent theatre to watch the BEST MOVIE EVER 'WONDER'.

I have had so much fun this week eating lollipops, cupcakes, chocolate fish & freddo frogs!

Thanks Mrs Prendergast, Mrs Clark, Miss Reissmann and Miss Panther for making this year soo much fun and full of enjoyment!
