Thank you for sharing your response to the poem! I think that it is a good reminder of how lucky we are to live in New Zealand too. It's pretty strange to feel happy and sad at the same time but it makes me feel that way too. Happy because this is such a beautiful way to remember those who passed and it's nice to know that what they did won't be forgotten. Sad because its also hard to think about all the lives lost and how hard that would have been for their friends and family. Do you feel happy and sad for similar reasons?
I like that in the poem they mention all the poppies in between the crosses, I think that its nice that they are surrounded by something beautiful! Is there something in particular that you liked about the poem too?
