Week 4 - Learning

This week we have been doing a lot of different things and the 2 I decided to blog about were technology and basic facts.



Every Wednesday Totara walk down to the Greymouth High School. We go to the classes we have been put in and learn how to do each skill. There are 5 classes which are, Wood Work, Metal Work, Soft Materials, Digital and Cooking. I am in Soft Materials and I can't wait to start sewing!



Everyday Totara do a basic facts speed test and every Friday Miss Power puts the fastest times on the leader board. To get on the board you have to get 100 out of 100 and a faster time than the slowest person on the board. So far my record is 1 minute 34 seconds, though it may get faster! I had a lot of fun doing basic facts this week because I got my fastest time so far.

Triangles

Today in class we have been looking at the different types of triangles. We had to search up the main points for each of these triangles.

Quadrilateral, Parallelogram, Trapezium and Rhombus

Today for maths we have been looking at different shapes, the 4 we are looking at are Quadrilateral, Parallelogram, Trapezium and Rhombus. We had to research the key points in each shape and then create a google drawing explaining the shape. I did a different drawing for the Quadrilateral because it covers all the shapes and then I did another google drawing with the other shapes.
