SLJ - You are my sunshine

  1. Good afternoon Katelynn,

You have mentioned some very important tips on how to protect our skin under the hot sun. Wearing hats is a must so that you can protect your face and neck from being exposed under the sun for too long. Did you also know that wearing sunglasses protect your eyes against UV rays?

It is also important to put on layers of sunscreen all over your face and body. I personally do not like sunscreen because it could get super sticky but we still need the protection! A teaspoon of sunscreen is probably more suitable for the face because it's not a big surface that needs to be covered. You will need a bit more than that for your arms and legs! Remember to re-apply them after a few hours to stop them from wearing off :) I love to swim underwater and this means my sunscreen might easily get washed off.

What is your favourite thing to do during summer Katelynn? Do you have a favourite nature spot? I would love to know.

    Ka kite,
    Susie

    1. Hello Susie!

Thank you commenting on my blog and giving me some advice!

My favourite thing to do in summer would be swimming and boogie boarding at the beach, bike riding, hanging out with friends and family and so much more! What is your favourite summer activity?

    2. Hello again Katelynn,

It is exciting to hear that you enjoy boogie boarding at the beach. I recently started to learn how to windsurf and its been a great experience so far! Windsurfing combines elements of surfing and sailing, and it did take quite a while for me to learn how to handle the sail. I'm slowly getting better with time.

I also love to go on spontaneous adventures out in nature. Do you have a favourite nature spot?

      From Susie :)

    3. Hello Susie!

My favourite nature spot is Mount George, my family climbed Mount George on the 11 January this year and the view was amazing though I have to admit it was really scary some parts you had to use ropes and climb up really muddy rocks!

Here is a link to some information on Mount George!

Would you climb Mount George like my family and I did?

    4. Good afternoon Katelynn,

Thank you for sharing this wonderful website with me. Did I tell you that my family and I also enjoy hiking? It seems like we have a lot in common! I actually haven't been to Mount George yet but I would definitely have to add this on my bucket list. The view must look amazing up there.

I understand how sometimes we could face many different challenges along the way such as big rocks and slippery path! Always be extra careful and take your time. I love the feeling of satisfaction once you finally make it to the summit. It is indescribable! Do you agree? :)

    5. Good Afternoon Susie!

It is AMAZING when you get to the top of a mountain or even just a hill you can see for miles!
