  1. Hello Katelynn,

I'm so glad you chose to write about the fantail, it's my favourite bird! Have you ever seen them in real life before? We have a few fantails that will occasionally visit our garden. They jump from branch to branch, tree to tree, and I love that it looks like they're dancing when they move around!

I think it's good that they eat moths, flies, beetles and spiders. They'll definitely make good helpers around the house! I've learnt more things from you, I had no idea that fantails could live up to ten years. That's pretty long for a small bird! Thank you for sharing their Māori name, I agree with you that Tirairaka is a pretty cool name. Did you know that there are 18 other Māori names for the fantail? Hiwaiwaka, Tiwakawaka (my favourite one) and so on... That sure is a lot of names, I don't even have a middle name! Do you? I love how tiny and lightweight these precious little creatures are! What's your favourite bird?

    Best,
    Evelyn :)

  2. Kia Ora Evelyn!

I do have a middle name! I quite like parrots because it is funny how some of them repeat what you say!

    1. Hi there Katelynn,

That's so cool that you have a middle name, I've always thought it would be nice to have one. Does your middle name also have a repeating letter?
Yes, parrots are quite amusing animals!

Fantails are really cool birds don't you? They are so small and super cute. I would love on as a pet. There songs are so beautiful. Awesome job.
    Thanks Rikki
