SLJ - Concluding The Journey

Background Image - Link

This is my final activity and for it we had to answer 4 questions about the Summer Learning Journey! I have really enjoyed learning about the environment and what lives in it this summer and can't wait to do it again next year! Did you do the Summer Learning Journey this summer?

  1. Hi Katelynn

It's Allie from the SLJ team. Well done for finishing all 60 activities for the Summer learning Journey this summer. You have done a fantastic job. And I know that Evelyn is really enjoying reading the high quality work that you have produced.

I am really please that you have finished, you should be very proud of yourself. I know we are!
Hopefully if we all work towards reducing our waste and recycling things will be better in all the communities.
Did you have a favourite activity that you did?

It is great to see that you have been commenting on others students blogs too. You are great at always leaving positive and thoughtful comments.

Thanks Katelynn for blogging with us this summer. We are looking forward to reading through all you work and I look forward to seeing you when I come back to the schools in February to present certificates and prizes.

Have a great rest of the holidays Katelynn, I hope you have something fun planned with your family.

    Until next time

    Allie :)

  2. Kia Ora Katelynn,

Congratulations on finishing the Summer Learning Journey programme for 2018-2019. Wow! This is such a huge accomplishment and you should be very proud of all that you have achieved. One of my favourite activities was also the 'Surfs Up!' activity. It's great to see that you had a good time with it. It's also great to read that you learned so much about the environment and about special activities like ziplining in Rotorua. I hope that you get the chance to try it one day!

Until then, all the best for the rest of your summer and for your year at school. I hope that it is the best one yet!

    Bye for now,
    Rachel :)

  3. Kia ora Katelynn,

My name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey team. I just wanted to come by and congratulate you on completing all of the activities in the SLJ programme this year.

I can see that you put a lot of effort into all of your posts, creating some amazing DLOs for the activities - ka pai! I'm so glad to see that you enjoyed taking part in the SLJ.

I can see that you've learned a lot about our environment, and things we can do to protect it. I hope that you enjoy the rest of your summer holidays, and use the things that you have learned to help keep Aotearoa clean & green.

    Congratulations once again Katelynn,

    Hazel :)

  4. Hi there Katelynn,

I'm sad to hear that this is your last post for the Summer Learning Journey 2018-2019. I will definitely miss reading all your wonderful blog posts and I have had an absolute blast on this journey with you! A big, big congratulations to you on making it to the end and completing all the activities to a high standard, I hope you have had an amazing time and learnt many new things on this wonderful journey! Allie is absolutely correct, I have indeed enjoyed following you along on this journey and I want to thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge with all of us.

You have put in so much time and effort into all your blog posts and I am so extremely proud of you. You have concluded the Summer Learning Journey with a wonderful reflection and I am pleased to know that you have obtained lots of new knowledge. We all have a role on this planet and we can definitely play our part to make this place a little bit better each day. Reduce, reuse, recycle as well as avoiding the use of plastic as best as we can is an excellent start and a very good suggestion, well done!

May you enjoy the rest of your holidays and have a lovely year of school ahead!

I wish you all the very best,
    Evelynn :)
