  1. Hi Katelynn

I think that I agree with you in thinking that the Taniwha comes from a maori myth and legend. I have read about them many times in books.
I think it is a bit like the Loch Ness monster! Have you heard of it?
It supposedly lives in a loch (lake) in Scotland. And although no one has every really seen it they have photos of a shadow of something on the loch. And then I believe like the Taniwha is comes down to myth and legend.
There would be stories carried down in both cultures about this monster/beast that lives in the water.
I am sure we could find some cool myths in the library as school and we could learn a bit more about it.

I hope your holidays are going well and you and Aimee are having fun. Won't be long and school will be back!

    Until next time

    Allie :)

    1. Hello Allie!

I haven't heard of the Loch Ness monster, it sounds like it is really interesting!

  2. Hey Katelynn
I'm in the middle. I think they are real and I think there not because the bubbles in that river looked pretty weird unless it's a gizer or something so I think your so right! Great job.
    Thanks Rikki
