Rapahoe By Katelynn F
A special place for my family is Rapahoe because we go swimming there every summer and bring our boogie boards.
It is also very special for us because we sometimes do a little bit of the Queen Elizabeth walking track. We also go onto the beach and play in the waves and we find sticks and write our names then we decorate them with shells.
Once when I went out there I brought Lara and Aimee brought Pyper that day me and Lara were trying to do handstands but Pyper and Aimee kept splashing! So we fell over! Also when we go out there we sometimes bring something to eat or if we are staying for a long time we bring lunch!
We normally have a competition out of me and Aimee to see who can get up the river the farthest! Every time we go we always bring sunscreen so we can sunbathe or if we want to play on the beach.
When Mum and Dad get in we sometimes have a splashing competition and it is lots of fun because the water is cold and it cools us down. If we went to go play in the sea and we jump the waves I have always wanted to learn how to surf!
What me and Aimee enjoy the most is just relaxing in the water and swimming with our hands and no feet! I also love finding the warm spots of the water because then we can go play until we're tired and then know were the warm spot is!
Me and Aimee sometimes have a competition to see who can swim to the other side first it’s lots of fun! When we go out to Rapahoe me and Aimee always make up challenges to do with each other! Sometimes we get water in our mouths and it’s YUCK!
I think it’s great fun see me and my family having fun in the place that we all love! That’s why me and my family love going out to Rapahoe!
