  1. Hi Katelynn,

WOW! That is a very thoroughly thought out and well written piece, amazing work Katelynn, I'm so impressed!! I must say, it's very interesting to hear what you think and have to say about logging. I honestly love the way you have thought about this topic as well as the ideas you have come up with and I completely agree with you. We definitely do need to continuously build houses, furniture and use firewood but we also need to be careful about how much forest we are cutting down. I never thought about carvings and making clocks, you have really gone above and beyond! Yes, you are absolutely correct, logging definitely has a negative impact on the environment and it forces animals to give up their homes and try to find new ones. Unfortunately, these animals aren't always successful so it's really important that we start planting more trees in our country to keep it alive, well and beautiful. In fact, the government has set a goal to plant one billion trees by the year 2028. That's a lot of trees! If you would like to find out more information about the One Billion Trees Programme, head on over to the website I have linked here:

    Best,
    Evelyn :)
