  1. Tena Koe Katelynn,

I would have to agree with you that it is reasonable enough for the government to set a law like this in order to prevent certain species from becoming extinct and to sustain our environment, but $100,000 is A LOT of money. An average worker in New Zealand approximately earns $50,000 and they would have to work TWO full years to pay off this fine.

So... how much do you think is a reasonable amount for the fine? I would love to know your thoughts and opinions. I personally think it shouldn't go over $5,000 because even this would send a strong message out there! (Maximum $10,000 would be alright too). What do you think?

Looking forward to hearing back from you,
    Susie

Thank you for commenting on my blog and giving me some advice!

I don't think it is a reasonable amount for the fine, because 100,000 is A LOT of money I think the should be fined maybe between 1,000 to 4,000 because we don't want our fish becoming extinct.

    2. Morning Katelynn!

Thank you for responding to my comment. $1,000 ~ $4,000 for a fine sounds much more reasonable to me - I would have to agree with you on that! Keep up the good work and I hope you enjoy the remaining few weeks of your summer holidays until school starts again. Are you excited for school?
